hip.hop.

made a guilty personal purchase today! but how couldn't i resist...
a hippo doormat!
i saw these cuties while in brooklyn this past weekend at THE FUTURE PERFECT and as per usual i was being indecisive about purchasing. i got home and couldn't stop thinking about it.. which brings me to today when i found it online for a little cheaper and free shipping at emmo HOME.
sorry THE FUTURE PERFECT but an non-working lady has to be frugal these days.

matt and kim.

...as long as you're not afraid of the dark, don't mind poor recordings, and can handle ALOT of bass.

new york, you stop me in my tracks.

a much needed trip to NYC brought me happiness, inspiration, and motivation to get things going.. going. going. and hopefully slated to opening before i take off for florida. (nov. 17-21 calls for the mount dora extravaganza. 3 full days of antiques and freaks.)

brooklyn farmacy has a shake called the rocket. i swear it was created for me. an iced coffee shake. it's incredible. i had two this weekend! if you live in brooklyn, you must a pay them a visit.

if you happen to know me personally then you would know that EVERYTIME i go to NYC i have to eat at red bamboo. WELL last time i was in the city i was heart broken to find out that the red bamboo in fort greene had closed. (they had this one dish that the west 4th street does not have... i will be writing a request to bring it back one of these days.)
regardless: still was able to take part in peanut butter heaven!

salume- a real italian panini in bed at 1pm on thursday afternoon. pretty amazing.

had laughs and serious talks. brunches, lunches, and dinners with some loved ones. i feel really good about what's to come.

boy. girl.

i bought these un homme/une femme vases when i was on vacation back in july at CB2. if any of you know me, you know how perfect of a find these were. adorable, love them.
they are comfortably leaning against a window in my bedroom and since they have been there the boy has fallen, broke and fallen again. the girl hasn't bugged and is in one piece.
is this a hint? (if you could only see me the smirk on my face)
